Want to be part of a club that offers fun activities and training opportunities for you and your dog? You’ve come to the right place. After completing a Public Obedience class, you can choose to become a member and be part of a club that is full of fellow dog-lovers.

As an FWOTC club member, you can get involved in a multitude of fun & engaging activities with your dog.
The list is always growing, but here are a few:

Dog Obedience Classes at FWOTC - Fort Wayne, IN

Obedience

Obedience is the best foundation you can give your dog. From basic sit-stay-heal-come commands, all the way to high-end competition, obedience demonstrates a willingness in working together, and helps you enjoy a well-behaved dog at home and in public.

Agility Classes at Ft. Wayne Obedience Training Club

Agility

Moving together in harmony with your dog - running, weaving, jumping. The sport of agility allows you to run a fun & challenging obstacle course with your K9 partner. It’s fast paced, rewarding, and the best way we can think of to exercise!

Rally is an obedience based obstacle course with your dog

Rally

Rally is an incredible team sport with your dog, based on obedience skills. You and your dog navigate a course together as you steer him through a series of 10-20 different signs - each requiring a different skill. Fun & engaging, rally is a great way to connect with your dog.

Scent work dog training

Scent Work

Celebrate your dog’s favorite activity by turning into a rewarding game! A true confidence builder, scent work teaches your dog to detect specific scents and substances in a pre-determined area.

Farm Dog is part of the Canine Good Citizen program

Farm Dog

A fun a different experience for may dogs - Farm Dog involved your dog performing a series of 12 exercises that are typical for a farm environment, such as proximity to livestock, jumping on hay, & experiencing different terrains

Your dog can earn AKC CGC titles at FWOTC

Canine Good Citizen (CGC)

The CGC program at AKC helps you and your dog master skills that instill confidence and good manners both at home and in public places. At FWOTC, we have certified evaluators so you can earn your CGC titles.

Expose your dog to many stimuli with our Sights, Sounds & Surfaces class

Sights, Sounds & Surfaces

Sights, Sounds & Surfaces is a class at FWOTC that prepares your dog for AKC’s ATT Temperament Testing. You will expose your dog to several categories of stimuli, and also learn how to modify behavior through shaping & desensitization.

FIT dog walks are a fun opportunity to exercise and meet other dog lovers

AKC FIT Dog Walks

FWOTC is an official AKC FIT DOG club, which means we host several open dog walks per year. These walks are a great opportunity to enjoy an outing and meet other dog lovers. If you wish, you can become an AKC Fit club member & earn points with every event.

Trick dog classes at FWOTC

Trick Dog

Does your dog love being the life of the party? Consider participating in our Trick Dog classes. Part of the AKC Family Dog program, you can earn titles from Novice through Elite Performer, with our certified evaluators.

Disc dog offers exciting, fast-paced frisbee games

Disc Dog

Frisbee has never been so fun! Disc Dog is an exciting, fast-paced sport that all dogs can enjoy. Disc Dog expands the basic game of frisbee into a series of fun games called UpDog.

Prepare your puppy for a CGC title with AKC’s S.T.A.R. Puppy

S.T.A.R. Puppy

Interested in your dog becoming a Canine Good Citizen? S.T.A.R. Puppy is a 20-step course taught by an AKC Approved CGC Evaluator, which not only prepares your puppy for CGC, but gives him a great start

Want to discount your fees? Volunteer to help!

As a non-profit club, we depend on the help of our members - and PAWS Points rewards you for participating. All you need to do is volunteer to help in our club events, and your points are accumulated. You can then put them towards your class fees, cutting your class costs.

Due to time and space constraints, not all classes are offered each session. We do our best to offer as many as possible, and alternate disciplines accordingly. Our Membership page outlines current classes, or those that will soon be open for registration.
